Nova are a British Alt-Rock Band formed in late 2018 consisting of Sam Jones (Lead Vocals/Guitar), James Smith (Backing Vocals/Bass), Daniel Doyle (Backing Vocals/Guitar) and Mark Mayhem (Percussion/Drums).
Nova have built their reputation on the success of their previous music projects. Sam Jones (ex The Basement Effect) supported guitarist Reeves Gabrels, (of The Cure and ex David Bowie/Tin Machine) on the Liverpool leg of his world tour with "Reeves Gabrels and his Imaginary Friends". Sam also has supported and played with a number of other successful touring bands such as "Billy Bibby and the Wry Smiles", "The Fontaines", "Clay", "Amber Run" and successful Irish band "Hudson Taylor" to name a few.
Mark Meyhem toured with the famous hard rock band "The Wildhearts" as a session musician and was awarded the name "Mayhem" by guitarist Danny McCormack. Mark's session work has also afforded him to travel the world touring with other household names and touring bands including "Feeder" and "Dogs D'Amour".
Since their debut show at Formby festival, Nova has steadily been growing a strong fanbase, both online and from playing on the club scene and their raw energy and their hypnotic musicianship at live shows will ensure their fanbase will continue to grow.
Nova are very excited to be announcing in the near future the launch of their debut single "Come Around" and will follow with a number of other single releases in lieu of their debut album in late 2020.
